A virtual home review is guided room by room by live video. Your written report includes practical recommendations based on what we’re able to observe, and notes where an in-person check by a local professional may be helpful.

Please note: A virtual home review follows the same room-by-room approach but is not a substitute for an in-person assessment. Recommendations are based only on what you show us on screen and the information and measurements you provide. We cannot independently verify the conditions, measurements, or features of the home, and some details, like exact step heights, doorway widths, and floor transitions, can only be measured in person.

Our virtual home reviews are visual and non-invasive. We don’t test the strength or anchoring of grab bars or railings, verify building code compliance, measure floor slip resistance, or test safety systems like smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Any recommendation involving structural work, permits, or safety systems should be evaluated and installed by a licensed contractor or qualified professional in your area.

After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation with a video call link and a simple preparation guide. At the scheduled time, we guide you room by room via live video — asking you to show specific areas and angles as we review each space in real time. The session is conversational and collaborative. We take your privacy seriously and handle your information with care.

Virtual home reviews typically run 60 to 90 minutes. We’re happy to work around your schedule and time zone.

A smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a camera and a reliable internet connection is all you need, along with a tape measure. A phone or tablet works best since it’s easy to carry through the home. We’ll send clear instructions before your appointment so you know what to expect.

We’re based in Irvine, California (Pacific Time) and accommodate clients across all time zones — including international clients in Europe, Asia, Australia, and beyond.

Yes, it often can. Many families find a video review feels less intrusive to a parent than an in-person visit, which can make it a comfortable first step. Your parent takes part in the walkthrough and shows us around, so they stay in control of what we see. Jen is experienced at building warm rapport by video and keeps the conversation respectful and unhurried.

Every tier includes a live, guided video review, a written report with your findings, prioritized recommendations, a resource guide, and a follow-up call. Larger tiers add coverage for more square footage and additional spaces, a family briefing call, and a longer follow-up call. Every fee is all-inclusive — the price you see is the price you pay.

Needs and routines can change from year to year. The Annual Safety Refresh ($175) is a shorter follow-up video review for returning clients to reassess your home and highlight new potential concerns.
