The following disclosures outline the nature of the relationship between SafelySituated™ Home Assessments, LLC and our clients. Our goal is to provide clear information about our independent status, our professional background, and the advisory nature of our work.

1. Nature of Service: Non-Medical Consulting
SafelySituated is a non-medical environmental home safety consulting service. While our founder’s 30 years of experience in occupational therapy inform our recommendations, the services provided — including your SafelySituated Roadmap (such as the Family Assurance Roadmap™) — do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or occupational therapy.

  • No Healthcare Relationship: Engaging SafelySituated for an in-person or virtual home assessment does not establish a healthcare provider relationship.

  • Medical Consultation: Clients are advised to consult their healthcare providers regarding specific medical conditions, rehabilitative needs, or physical limitations.

2. Commitment to Independent Recommendations
To maintain our independence, SafelySituated operates as a fee-only consultancy. Our focus is the safety and comfort of your home and your family.

  • Conflict-Free Model: We receive no commissions, referral fees, or “kickbacks” from contractors, architects, equipment manufacturers, or product vendors.

  • Vendor-Neutral: Our recommendations are based on our observations of your home and your family’s needs — never on sales.

3. Implementation, Outcomes & Liability
SafelySituated provides advisory recommendations; we do not perform modifications or construction.

  • No Guarantee of Outcome: Recommendations are advisory; SafelySituated does not guarantee specific outcomes, and implementation decisions rest with the client.

  • Professional Oversight: Many recommendations are simple adjustments you can make yourself. Structural, electrical, or plumbing changes should be reviewed and completed by a licensed contractor (or structural engineer, where appropriate) in your local jurisdiction.

  • Third-Party Work: SafelySituated assumes no liability for the quality of workmanship performed by third-party vendors or for any incidents occurring within the environment following the delivery of our report.

4. Intellectual Property Notice
The methodology behind our assessments — including the Expert Eye Approach™ and the Environmental Micro-Stressors™ framework — is the proprietary intellectual property of SafelySituated Home Assessments, LLC.

  • Usage: Your Roadmap is for the exclusive use of the client and their designated implementation team (such as architects or contractors). No part of our proprietary assessment process or reporting may be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without express written consent.

5. Virtual Home Review Limitations
For clients using our virtual home review services, including the Global Virtual Roadmap™, the review is limited to what the client shows us by video. While we apply the same professional approach, the client acknowledges that a virtual review may not identify every concern an in-person visit could.

6. Privacy & Data Security
We treat your home and family information with discretion and care.

  • Photos/Video: Photos and video of your home are used only to prepare your Roadmap and are not used in marketing without your written permission.

  • Private Delivery: Digital Roadmaps are delivered privately to the client. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. See our Privacy Policy for details.
